Save Money and Plan for the Cold Season Today
Warren Buffett is known to have said he bought stocks when they were throwing the baby out with the bathwater, and sold stocks when prices were dear (read: highly valued). One can use this approach to plan their yearly budget. One item that comes to mind is down bedding. Right now down bedding can be found on sale because we are still in the late summer time frame. The time you don’t want to buy down bedding is when the weather is below freezing, the roads are icy, and the malls are swamped with holiday buying customers.
One of my favorite down products is the “Feather” Bedding Ensemble, which is available at a 61% discount to its regular price. Discounts are less common during the cold season, and often times the products are out of stock due to high customer demand.
A couple of key issues to consider when purchasing down comforters include how you must clean the bedding. Dry cleaning can be pricey and inconvenient. Often times, however, the comforter requires dry cleaning due to the nature of the material and the high-quality of the product. A second key item is to be aware of is if any of the anticipated down users have a allergic reaction to down. This is fairly common, and down alternative comforters are available if needed.
