Friday, October 21st, 2011I do not know if I will even like being a teacher. Mom said that I have the kind of personality and patience to do so, but I am not quite sure yet. She said that maybe I can look into being a teaching assistant before I actually invest my time into becoming a teacher. There are tons of positions which will allow me to experience what it is like to be in that environment, and I guess that I just want to make sure that I do whatever I can in order to be happy with the career that I have chosen for myself. I guess that I am the type of girl who has to really see for myself what is important, and what I can and cannot do. Before I decided to do what I do right now, I had a little minimum wage job that did not have a lot of hours for me, so I was not able to provide for my family. I had to do something very drastic, so I decided to enroll into school to be a sonographer. I really do like ultrasonography. Even though it was very tough for my family and me while I was in school, a lot of things are taken care of now. Just Around the Block
Sunday, July 10th, 2011Good thing that I have a brother that can be an electrician when I needed one. It was nearly midnight when a fuse broke inside my house. Of course, everything went out. I needed electricity twenty four seven at home since I work at home.
My brother lives just a block away. I called him and good thing that he was wide awake and that he knows how to fix these kinds of things. After thirty minutes of tinkering with my fuse back the power was one. I could’ve danced on the spot but instead I hugged my brother and thank him. He ended up staying at home watching my plasma TV and eating half of my fridge.
That is fine with me as long as the power is back and that I’m back working. Good thing my brother was at homw when I needed him. Thank goodness for that.
I Was Able to Afford a New Car on a Phlebotomist Salary
Saturday, July 9th, 2011Before I started working in phlebotomy and earning a phlebotomist salary, I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to afford a lot of the luxuries in life. However, once I got out of school and got a good job, I found that I was actually able to afford a lot of the things that I always wanted. In fact, I was able to buy a new car. When I was in phlebotomy school, I was just another broke student like everyone else and didn’t even have a car to get around. I had to take the bus or walk everywhere, which I didn’t enjoy at all. But once I started my job, I realized I had enough money left over after paying my rent and everything else to buy a new car. This was a big change in my life and one that I am very grateful for indeed.

Time of Life
Thursday, June 9th, 2011A quiet and somewhat boring afternoon. That was my afternoon before I turned on the television. I’m no TV buff person but the program that was on was a really good science program. It’s about the biggest fish there is in the world. It is amazing how there are people who would go to the jungles of the Amazon just to look for creatures like that. Scientific careers must be really exciting.
From what I have seen in the short program, the scientist was really having the time of his life. It was like he found what he was living for. Of course there are many episodes to this program but it will only take a one episode to to convince you with this. It is really nice to be doing what you really love to do. That way, you will have the time of your life almost everyday of your life.
