I Love The Safety Aspects Of A Chair Lift

Sunday, August 29th, 2010

A good friend of mine had recently installed one of those chair lifts that you see advertised that move someone from the first floor up to the second level in their home. The lift works flawlessly and you can quickly see how valuable it is for a loved one who has a difficult, if not impossible, time in getting up the steps.

The big question on my mind for my friend was what about safety? How safe is this type of lift? This may be a big concern for you as well. It turns out that these lifts have all sorts of built in safety mechanisms to make them extremely safe for the entire family.

For example, they have a sensor that automatically stops the lift if it senses that something is blocking its pathway. This could be a sleeping cat on the steps. Or it could be a toy that one of the kids left out on the stairs. This is just one of the many ways these lifts are so safe.
